Erick Morillo is a superstar DJ with a penchant for doing it big. Owner of Subliminal Records and a platinum-selling artist with a non-stop touring schedule, Morillo counts Diddy and Boy George as collaborators, and Naomi Campbell and Marc Anthony as friends. His first dancefloor hit was in 1994 with Reel 2 Real’s ubiquitous “I Like To Move It.” Since then, he’s developed a funky, soulful house sound, producing more hits like “Break Down The Doors,” “Live Your Life” (with Eddie Thoneick, featuring Shawnee Taylor) and remixes for Whitney Houston and Basement Jaxx, among others. From his legendary weekly Subliminal Sessions parties at Pacha Ibiza, to his coveted residency at Pacha NYC as well as headline billing at many of the World’s top festivals, Morillo is one of the most in-demand DJs in the world, at times playing a mind-blowing 28 gigs per month.
